Luke 14:28 Count the Cost

As I work with churches on a daily basis, I always come back to this scripture verse.  The profound question asked in this verse can be applied in all areas of our lives.  My passion is to assist churches as they develop their ministry and facilities to accomplish the Great Commission.  Counting the Cost is critical to the success or failure of every pursuit in the life of a church.  This blog will serve the purpose to address the costs that need to be counted in ministry.  Whether it is facilities, staffing, programming, or strategic decisions, I will seek to further the discussion to assist church leaders and committees as the discern through each decision and COUNT THE COST.

  1. I was driving in Garland, Texas not long ago and passed a church building under construction with a sign in front that said, "Please donate and help us complete our building." That church was looking for "Miracle Money." When leaders and members say, "God will provide," without proper planning and funds to complete the project, they are putting their church at risk of failure. They place a burden on the members, when they were not prepared to complete the project. God is in control, but church leaders and members need to have realistic expectations and prepare in a way that will be pleasing to God.
